EmilyOnTour1
Like most musicians touring on the road, Emily would often create on the fly lead sheets and chord progressions as she traveled, sometimes on the closest thing at hand, like a piece of hotel stationary. AllThingsEmily is privileged to offer these basic song roadmaps to her fans, with many being the only progressions in existence she made for certain jazz standards like Bolivia, Funkallero, My Funny Valentine, How Insensitive, My Latin Brother and several more. If you are a fan of real books, it doesn’t get any more real than this.

Gain an inside perspective of her approach, even if just for a few measures, to songs she played almost exclusively on the road. Graciously shared from the jazz memories trunk of Emily’s fellow friend and colleague; jazz bassist, educator and advocate Kelly Roberti .¬†We offer our gratitude for his sharing.
